The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow is pleased to announce the opening of Visa Application Centres in Moscow.

This service is available only for Russian citizens and third country nationals legally residing in the service district (jurisdiction) of the Embassy who wish to apply for a Norwegian Schengen visa or residence permits to reside in Norway. This site provides details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know.

Applicants who wish to apply for a visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents accurately and will reduce the risks of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

The service district of the Royal Norwegian Embassy is in the whole of Russia except Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Pskov, Novgorod and St. Petersburg regions. The visa applications are to be submitted at the Norway Visa Application Centres in accordance with the Jurisdiction specified. All applications will be assessed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, located in Moscow. As a general rule the applications must be submitted by the applicant in person, or accredited tourist agencies with the Embassy.. I.e. it should not be sent by post. Parents/legal guardians of minors can submit applications on their behalf.

If you are a citizen of another country than Russia, you must have been residing legally for the past six months in Russia in order to apply for a residence permit at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow.

All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to The Royal Norwegian Embassy, in Moscow for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by the Embassy.
All applications for residence permits will be forwarded by the Embassy in Moscow to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) in Norway for consideration. The applicant has to stay in Russia until the permit has been granted by UDI.

According to the Federal law of Russian Federation “About personal data” it is mandatory for every applicant to sign the “Personal data processing consent” since May 2011.
Please note that all applicants who submit documents through authorized representatives are also obliged to sign this document in advance or to give a power of attorney to a representative. Do not forget that if one of the group members submits documents for rest of the group, he/she needs to have this document or power attorney from the other group members.
Power attorney must be notarized.
A legal representative (parents, tutors, etc.) should sign this document for a minor (all children under 18). You can find the document here.

Please note!
Children 0-12 are exempted from providing fingerprints but they have to take “live” photo in the Visa Centre.
VISA APPLYING PROCESS
Step 1 : Visa applicants who wish to apply for a Schengen visa and Resident Permits and Entry visas are requested to fill in the application form online using the secure Application Portal. For more information on how to register your application online, please click here. Those who register their applications online using the Application Portal prior to showing up at the Norway Visa Application Centers must pay the visa fee online using a credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa).It is also possible for the sponsor in Norway to complete all, or part of the online process for the applicant (e.g. log on and pay the application fee).

Alternately, applicants may visit the Norway Visa Application Centre and may register their applications online using designated kiosks at the Centers. Please make sure you have relevant information and credit/debit card details to register yourself online. You can also visit the Norway Visa Application Centers with a duly filled and signed Schengen Visa Application Form.
Step 2 : Submit your passport along with required supporting documents. The relevant checklists can be found under each category on this website under the heading ‘All About Your Visas’ section. In case you would like to submit a handwritten form (only for 7D-visa) please carry the relevant visa fee, VFS service and optional fee.
Step 3 : Pay in cash the total payable amount in Ruble for VFS service, Optional fee and Visa fee (if applicable) as advised by the Submission Officer at the Centre. Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Please Note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport.

In order to receive a SCHENGEN-visa from The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Moscow your main destination must be NORWAY or the longest part of your stay must be within Norway. If you plan to visit several Schengen countries and the duration of the stay in those countries are the same, the first entry must be through Norway.
TRACK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE
After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can also check status of your application online by simply providing the unique Application Reference Number and your Date of Birth. The number in the format XXXX\DDMMYY\XXXXXX\XX can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by the Submission Officer at the Application Centre at the time of submission.
